Fantasia 시리즈는 코로나 팬데믹 이전 자유롭게 여행하던 유럽의 풍광에 대한 기억과 이미지를 회화로 표현한 작품이다. 여행의 시간 속으로 스며들며 유유히 흐르는 강물을 캔버스 밖에 마주하고 오랜 시간 유럽 고유의 것으로 상징되는 건축물을 나의 감성으로 풀어냈다.

그것은 한국의 색, 오방색을 주로 사용하면서도 유럽의 이색적인 형상을 조화롭게 표현하는 것으로 내재된 환상 이미지의 재탄생이다.우리는 지난 몇 년간 코로나 팬데믹으로 모든 이동이 단절되었었다. 그때의 답답한 상황을 생각하니 회화를 통하여 작가와 관람자가 언제든 미지와 상상의 세계 속으로 빠져들 수 있음을 그리고 환상적 공간을 경험할 수 있음을 확신한다. 예술로 인간의 마음을 진정 위로할 수 있음을 모두가 확인할 수 있을 것이다.

The Fantasia series is a work that expresses memories and images of the scenery of Europe, where people freely traveled before the coronavirus pandemic,through paintings. Facing the leisurely flowing river outside the canvas, seeping into the time of travel, I expressed the architecture that has long been a symbol of Europe through my sensibility. 

It is a rebirth of the inherent fantasy image by harmoniously expressing the exotic shapes of Europe while mainly using Korean colors and the five cardinal colors. For the past few years, all movement has been cut off due to the coronavirus pandemic. Thinking about the frustrating situation at that time, I am convinced that through painting, the artist and the viewer can dive into the world of the unknown and imagination at any time and experience a fantastic space. Everyone will be able to confirm that art can truly comfort the human heart.
